Tate Library Video Databases

Tate Library at the High School subscribes to a number of video collections, (including PBS and The Criterion Collection). You can get access to them at Streaming Resources

This is a collection of 85-90 picture book read-alouds. We subscribe to this site. The link is on the pages of our website for PreK-3rd Grade and here:

Capstone Interactive Books: Nonfiction

This is a collection of nonfiction digital books for lower grade students. Each book has a read-aloud feature, which can either go page-by-page or read right through the book.

For students, we've also provided a link on the 4th and 5th grade pages of our website.


This database contains a wealth of information about picture books, early chapter books, and middle grade novels, along with their authors.

It includes author interviews, audio and/or video of authors reading their own books, video book trailers, read-alike suggestions, and teaching suggestions with discussion starters, etc.

We've provided access for students on the 4th and 5th grade pages of the library website. Read-alike and series information from Novelist K-5+ is also found directly in our library catalog. 

This database is invaluable for providing reading suggestions, and reviews of fiction and nonfiction.
